Placenta Encapsulation

  • A Process You can trust

I process your placenta in your home over the course of two consecutive days, spending roughly two hours each day. I use the traditional method of encapsulation, which is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. The process includes steaming the placenta before dehydration to kill any bacteria and provide balance. Because I process the placenta in your home, you have the peace of mind that not only is the placenta in fact yours, but there’s no risk of your placenta being exposed to any unfamiliar bacteria that could impact your postpartum recovery.

  • Support beyond Encapsulation

Processing the placenta in your home allows me to offer you the full range of my support. Aside from being a Postpartum Placenta Specialis, I’m also a Postpartum and Infant Care Doula and a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor. I can provide a listening ear, help troubleshooting any feeding issues, resources and referrals, and so much more. There’s also the added benefit that I will clean the kitchen each day I’m there.

  • What You'll Get

You will receive a transport kit, 100-200 capsules, a tincture, a cord keepsake, and a placenta print. The tincture will be ready for consumption after six weeks, and can provide you with the benefits of the placenta far beyond your postpartum journey.

  • Reported Benefits

Mentions of placenta consumption can be traced back to the 16th century. Though there aren’t many reliable studies about the benefits of it, people have reported that it helped their postprtum mood, hormone balancing, milk production, and overall recovery from birth.

How much Does It Cost?

The cost for in-home placenta encapsulation is $400, which includes a transport kit, 100-200 capsules, a tincture, a cord keepsake, and a placenta print.
